To be honest, we never felt like we could have done so well and never realised the benefits entering would offer, it was unexpected so now we really want to make a big shout-out to other small startups to have a crack and in so doing join the NZ Tech Start-up team community that these awards represent.

Winning the 'special mention' at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards has certainly raised the profile of Toku. I believe this was one of the reasons that we then later got nominated for AmCham 2024 awards and won both the Innovation category and the Supreme Awards. Post award, we have received more attention in the Australian market, while this has not been one of our focus areas. I want to thank the organisers and the judges. the NZ Hi-Tech Awards has been a highlight for Toku in 2024.

I founded Umajin to create software to make anything "you imagine” 20 years ago. The NZ Hi-Tech Awards have been an inspiration to see what other companies were doing and then to eventually join them up on stage for the software and creative solution categories.

Winning a NZ Hi-Tech Award in 2021 was great recognition for the efforts of our team. It has been an exceptional time for our business amid the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring our global business of more than 6,000 people to pull together and meet surging demand for our products around the world—we’re pleased that the award reflects this commitment.
